Doing less people-centric things. Having a lot of fun with it.
I used to pass this tourist trap on the way to and from college. The billboards were always a welcome sign that I was nearing school but I have never been so uncomfortable as the time I actually decided to stop there with my roommate.
It was like a ghost town of oddly placed racism and nostalgia. Good memories. Here’s some first person five year old proof that it is a weird, creepy, place. I was also a very different shape and sized lady then.
I’m trying to learn plants and practice with ink and brushes. I can’t help but make chunky shapes no matter how I draw.
A friend from school of mine is doing an amazing thing, spilling all of her secrets in a gallery setting she is calling The Secret Show.
She inspired me to draw how I feel recently, which has always been lost on me. Any time I tried to journal or draw feelings I just get overwhelmed, it was a nice change to actually get something down.
